How to Record Audio Interviews

http://ttik.s3.amazonaws.com/audiorecording.mp4

I’ve had quite a few people ask me about the best and fastest way to create a bonus or product of their own. I use audio interviewing quite a bit and while I talk about it lots, I’ve never really shown anyone the tools I use. So, here’s a quick video I put together that explains how I record my audio interviews.

If you like these types of  ”technical how to” videos, you should definitely check out the the technical tips TTIK site… AKA the brown site. There are tons of Free Videos up there and some premium stuff to.

Hey Jeff, Cool video thanks. I didn’t even know you could record calls that easily on Skype. I’m surprised that don’t have that built in.

So how to you find the people to Interview and find them on Skype?

Thank Jeff! awesome stuff. I own CBBD and never knew about your Things I Know site. It’s exactly what I’m looking for!

What’s the difference between the this one and the brown site? One looks like a membership, is there a difference in what you post there?

LOVE THE NEW SITE!!! Very sleek.. what theme are you using for this site? It looks the same as your members site?

BTW: that captch thing is a pain… you should think about using something else.

    Mike,

You have to contact your interviewers and set up a time to handle the interview. I’d recommend contacting the product vendor for an interview or even using something like RITR.com to find people that want to be interviewed.

Once you get everything arrange people will share their skype id. You can search skype for contacts, but many people will hide their skype name….to avoid spam calls and chats.

Cheryl, The blue site is the newest addition and will focus more on news, strategies and just stuff I have going on outside of IM. The Tech site AKA “brown” is all about the technologies behind online marketing.

There’s lots of free content on there, but there is some premium content as well. The premium content has lots of downloads, scripts and templates that a bit advanced..

Thanks Dan. This is a modfied Revolution/Studio press theme… I love them.

Sorry about the Captcha…it’s a necessary evil to avoid the spambots.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the link to your website and really great intro to skype recording and editing. I have looked at Skype previously and Audacity site as well. I will refer back here for other videos you create helps me understand how all works. Appreciate it.

  9. An excellent tutorial of the how-to of using Skype to record audio interviews. I particularly appreciate your showing a bit of the editing features of Audacity. As a former online DJ, I know a lot of people can be easily intimidated by programs of this sort.
